Does anyone know of a plug-in that will work with a Logic based DAW that
actually generates LP record type noise - clicks, pops surface noise,
that sort of thing?

Assuming you want it to try and 'create' an LP type sound from a CD etc,
it won't fool anyone with half decent hearing.

I've got several blank disks that will produce this effect for drama use
etc, but even with extremely careful EQ of the 'original' sound it's still
not convincing enough.

My preferred method is to get an acetate cut and add some surface noise to
that.
