Default Aiwa CD repair?

My Aiwa CDS-NS1 has started to skip and jump when playing cds...

(hope this is the right group)

of couse its now out of warranty but about 3 weeks (how does it know)

the disks played are scratched but play fine in two other players...

any suggestion to fix? ( i can't afford a new one)

Dirty lens? I know not everyone's keen on lens cleaners, however, I saw some
in an Aldi Store for just £2.99 last week.

Yes, leap about a bit and exercise your Consumer Power - many manufacturers
and suppliers with a bit of 'post-modern customer savvy' will entertain
claims up to, say, a month or so out of the warranty period these days. Get
on to someone where you bought it and squeeze some butt - politely but
firmly.....

If the CDs are scratched but readable it wouldn't hurt to make an image
using a
good cd ripper like EAC and burn to a new CD.
