I want to make some space so anyone who drops in to my flat in Kensington is
welcome to various project boxes and a box of miscellaneous wires and cables.
Maybe more - I also have a nice upright piano and a 19" rack 3ft high ex BBC in
oak/teak wood for reasonable offers. Strictly callers by appointment. email me
for more details on aeatartsandmedia which is an AOL address (i.e.atAOLdot
com). Andy

You might not be able to give the **** away, but there'll be an eBayer out
there happy to pay loads for it.

I'm sure that's true, but I've got ads in LOOT. Most of the free stuff has gone
already, in fact. Just to repeat what I still have for sensible offers:
Upright piano Collard + Collard nice, in tune
BBC 19"rack
Acoustic 140 amp and 15" vintage JBL speaker in natural wood, 70s

As a side note, there's been discussion in nz.comp & general about 19" racks
which I thought brought up an interesting fine point re the UK & US versions
http://tinyurl.com/2plz2

"Not all 19" racks are the same width:
The British Post Office spec 19" = 484mm between rails
typical modern American racks 19" = 487mm"

Verrry interesting, but not very funny (German helmet emerges from grass)...

Mine is 484.

I was only quoting another post - presuming he knew or had measured.
What's your source for that? Did you follow the link to the other thread?

OK, I've turned into a pumpkin, my brains are mush:-)
Yes, I don't know why the "19"" rack is so far out of exact spec ... strange

They often go s/h for over a hundred here ... odd that no-one has taken it.
