Default Fair price for 2nd hand kit?

Dear all,

I have a range of second hand kit that I want to sell on (Cyrus 2, Mission
770F speakers, Sony Tuner and so on). Can anyone suggest a way that I can
get an indication of a fair price to ask for the stuff?

Thanks,

Roger, Aberystwyth

Try looking on ebay for past auctions.

It will depend on age, moving parts and how desirable the kit is.

For age I usually work on:

1 year old: 66%

2 years old: 50%

3 years old: 33%

4 years old: 25%

5 years old: 20%

I think you can see a pattern developing here ;-)

Things with moving parts like CD players and speakers will follow the above
fairly closely. Things without moving parts will often fetch more, but only
if they are popular or rare and desirable.
