Default Car hi-fi problem

Hi, Bought a Goodmans cheapo Radio Cassette GCE 740 for my rally car.
Insatlled it, but although it lights up ok, the only message I get on LED is
Cd - any ideas, as I don't feel like removing assembly if it can be
rectified?

Wrong connection on the back? Thinks you are trying to use the input for an
external CD?
