Buying CD Player: Old Linn Audio or New NADs/Arcam?

Been down to the shops recently... looking for a CD player to go with my
Rotel RA-01 and Monitor Audio Bronze B2, using QED Silver Anniversary
and Qunnex 2. Been looking at the NAD 540BEE or splashing a bit more on
Arcam CD73. Happen to see secondhand Linn Audio (usual price around £700
it says) selling for around the price of the NAD at about 150. Can't
remember the model number. Which would be the best buy?

Which Linn CD player?
Even with an answer, you'll probably get 10 different opinions - personal
taste and all that.
But I do like the Arcam CD73...

Why not stick with Rotel and buy the RCD-02 ?

If you want a player with superbly detailed sound, great built & design
at a low price, get the new Cambridge Audio Azur 640C (not the 540C). It
has the same D/A converter as the Arcam CD73T, and it's fabulous. I
tested this against an NAD 542, which did not project the same amount of
detail as the Cambridge.

If you want a smoother sound, takle the Arcam. It's also a great player.
