Default yamaha DSPE800 volume control

I've just gone and got myself a second hand yamaha DSPE800 (3 channel DD/DTS
add-on processor) so i can watch dvds in 5.1, but still keep my arcam alpha
9 for the stereo.

Only problem is that the motor for the volume control seems to be broken (it
is getting +/-4.5V when the button on the remote is pressed, but nothing
moves!!!). Turning the control by hand works fine, so it is just the motor
that's gone. my local shop wants £40 plus shipping back to yamaha and
yamaha's labour costs which seems excessive for what looks like a couple of
quid motor!!!

Does anyone know where I could source either a replacement motor or another
volume control board to plug in???

Many thanks in advance

tom
