| I am putting a Kenwood KRC194A Cassette and FM/AM box into my caravan.
| A bit OTT but the one I had before was crap.
| The instructions are all about car installations, and things I will never
| have :-(
|
| The power connector has:
| A-4 Yellow Battery
| A-5 Blue/white Power control
| A-7 Red Ignition (ACC)
| A-8 Black Earth Ground connection.
| I have only two wires 12V earth and +12V
| Earth is obvious but wherever I put the +12V nothing happens.
| What should I connect where?
|
| I also have an aerial with amplifier, so I suppose the supply to that goes
| on a wire called P Cont.
|
| Yellow - connect to a permanent +12V supply, this is where the unit will
| pull its power from..
| Red - normally connected to a line that goes live when the ignition is on,
| but assuming you don't have ignition in the caravan you should connect it to
| the same permanant +12V as the red wire.
| Blue/white - this will go live when the unit is turned on, used for
| activating (not powering, note, they normally need their own permanent +12V
| connection) electric aerials, amplifiers, etc.
| Black - I think you've figured that one out already :-)

Thanks I will go out and try it :-(
