Default Goodmans in Car MP3/CD player Repair

Hi,

My goodmans in Car CD/MP3 player started giving off a burning smell
this afternoon. On closer inspection it seems to be caused by a faulty
resistor in the small box that dangles off the back of the unit.
Unfortunately it's too badly burnt to see what rating it is.

It's the biggest resistor in the box if that helps.

Does anyone have any idea what rating it should be? or possibly where I
could buy a replacement dangling box unit? Are they common to different
types of stereo or specific to this particular model.

It would be a shame to have to scrap the whole unit for just one small
resistor.

Cheers for your help in advance!

Mark

PS The model number is GCE 7350MP3R if that helps!
