Vinyl obsolete in Japan

No, I don't think so - nor 'horns' either...
These pix were taken probably only *yesterday* by my little friend in
Brussels who is over there on work:
No one buys records now! Shops don't sell them apart from second hand ones.
There is no market for new ones now we have CD/DVD/MP3.
Nice pictures, but not a sight of any vinyl!

Vinyl obsolete in Japan also...??

The land of the rising vinyl perhaps? Good to see it Keith, looks a lot
like the Akihabara district of Tokyo...worth the airfare for a vinylite
like yourself.
That's definitely not Tokyo - he's in Nagasaki and mentioned going to
Fukuoka (?? Gawd know how you pronounce that...?? :-) but I thought that
trip had been cancelled...
Whats with the centre cartridge on Jpg03 as it looks like just 2 pins,
mono perhaps? but at looking closer the reflection shows 4 pins so I guess
the other two are out of shot.
Fekkin' sharp bit of observation Mike - it is indeed a mono cart:

(Although if you believe everything you hear, you can't get those either!!

Note the two Denon carts - guess which one is for me in
recognition/appreciation of the Needle speakers I sent to him FOC (and
which he loves), having dropped a big hint about a Denon 304L at silly
cheap Japanese 'home market' prices...???
Correct - *neither* one....!!
Miserable sod! I make those near half *US* prices (10000 Yen - 45UKP -
85USD)
Yes, I dropped a wee bit of a hint but it obviously fell on deaf ears!! ;-)
Like - Ooh, everybody I know comes back with a pocket full of DL304s for his
friends, they are so cheap in Nippon....
(Par for the course with most 'audio types' I find....!! ;-)
Exclude yourself from that comment, Dr Rob....
Anyway, it'll save you the air fare to find out for yourselves!
(Be warned, the pix are *stupid* big - I have told him a number of times
now, but to no avail, he's an *engineer*....!! ;-)
Yeahbut it's about *accuracy* :-)
Now - a couple of charcoal sketches would be nice :-)
Well, here's a couple of paintings by the same chap!

Will they do? :-)

Pity that, I've always had a hankering for a cheapish mono cartridge to play
my older mono recordings. Mono recordings just don't sound as good played on
a stereo cartridge.
Here's a bit more about the DL-102 :
