Playing an MP3 file on a car CD player

I have some MP3 files which I want to play on my car CD player.
Please, can some kind soul tell me what format I should convert them
to for this to happen?

You need to burn them in .WAV format. If you're using Nero, use the "burn an
audio CD" option, and it will automatically convert them for you on the fly.
