Default Skoda Fabia CD changer options

GF has a 99 Fabia with the fully enclosed factory audio system (no
normal DIN slot).

She wants to add either CD multichanger, or MP3 playback.

Anyone know what year the Fabia had a CD changer option, and where to
look and see if the cable is there?

Would be nice to know that Skoda just use standard VW based audio
system, and that I can use cable adaptors to convert the factory cd
input to a line input to put something like an Mstation in (rather than
use a modulator).

She doesn't want a full PC system/TFT screen like I've built for mine.
She wants to be able to use the factory controls or a seperate character
display/control like the Mstation uses.

Any help.

Actually, it is a Y2K "W" plate, not a '99.

My mistake.

I'm sure I don't need to tell you this, but have you tried asking at
http://www.briskoda.net yet? I know there are a few with Fabias of that age
and they might know the answer already?

Q.

Cheers Q, never thought of Briskoda.

Keep forgetting that it is there TBH. I'm into my Older Skodas, and
forgot about sites dealing with newer ones till my GF got her Fab.

Will signup, and give it a go.

nice one.

Had a quick read in the ice forum, noticed some talk of M-Stations, so
I've posted the Qestion regarding the Fabia there.

Thanks again

That'll be me then ) But as I drive a vRS, I won't be of much help in
answering your question The vRS comes with CD-changer already, but due
to the crappy nature of the Symphony (Grunding) HU, my installation of the
mStation has been put on hold a bit until I get some time to run a few
cables back and forth through the car.
