Compatibility of Sony CDX-MP40 and Autochangers

Hi,

I am thinking of buying the Sony CDX-MP40 head unit. Does anyone know
if it is compatible with older Sony autochangers? I have a Sony
CDX-601 autochanger. My gut feel says yes, just wanted to confirm.
