Hi,

Last year I bought a Citroen AX which came with the standard Citroen
radio/cassette player. Not satisfied I bought a CD player and installed this
with no trouble.
The problem now is that I want to be rid of the car and replace the old
stereo. I have done this but when I try to operate it it just asks for a
code. I have searched all documentation that came with the car and there is
no sign anywhere of this code. Is there any way of obtaining it? I tried
phoning Citroen earlier but they just gave me another number and said to
call tomorrow as that office was closed.
I don't want to have to spend vast amounts on this as the tape is bust
anyway so it could be cheaper just to get a new radio/cassette.

My mate had the same kind of trouble, it took about 8 phone calls to finally
get a code

So unless you want to spend over an hour on the phone, just ditch it

I had an XM which I believe had a Clarion fitted. The standard code was
2345, might be worth a try.

Then there is the messing about of faxing the dvla details as proof of
ownership so make sure your near a fax
