Cassette adaptor ejecting
I have a sony xr6600 tape player (in a '95 VW)
& maplin's cheapest casette adaptor. The thing works for 3 seconds then ejects, presumably the tape player isn't fooled. Is it possible other makes of adaptor would work better or will this player reject every such device? |

I had the same problem with an adapter from Argos in my car, but it did work
well in the wife's car. I took it back and bought an adapter from Tandy (are they still in business?) it worked fine and was cheaper. R.C. " |

Ah, young Nerk, have a picture of Queen Victoria while I describe what you need. You need to find an adapter that has little wheels between the two sprocket holes so that, when one is driven so is the other. This is because these tape players monitor the non-driven spindle to find when the tape has come to the end. -- Scott Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket? |
