power cap
 

can u help i have just installed a power cap in my car and it is staying
live with the ignition off.
will this cause my battery to discharge if so can u tell me how to stop it?

battery 12 v to power cap + another wire from cap + to amp 12v in
- from cap to ground.


the ground from my cap is wired to the same place as my amp ground

You have three connections on the top of your cap? The large + terminal
goes to the cap and the battery, the other terminal, assuiming it is a small
terminal goes to the remote lead from the back of the head unit.

Some caps have no remote terminal, these type are designed to stay
illuminated all the time. Power drain is not enough to drain the cars'
battery though.

should turn off automaticlly if it is not out of order. when the voltage
stable, i.e. 2-3 mins, it should turn off itself.
