The front flips down and the CD loads in behind.

Had one for a week now and very happy with it.

I owned a P7400MP previously and the toned down looks of the 77MP are a big
improvement, however there are a few interesting niggles that might be worth
you knowing:

- No clock. Not a problem in most cars I'm sure, but worth noting.
- Display still doesn't scroll long titles by default. Pressing a button
scrolls once only and not for subsequent tracks. This was the case on my
previous model and its disappoitnting to see that Pioneer haven't changed
this behaviour.

And another thing: There is a terribal strong light in the buttons. The
dimmer function only reduces the light in the display :O(
The light issue irritated me so much, it was one of the reasons that I sold
it again. But apart from that, it's a great headunit.

I was able to dim some of the buttons by unscrewing the front panel
and filling the inside of the button with blue tac. For most of the
buttons this works fine.

This didn't work for some of the buttons, like the one for selecting
the different radio bands, as it made the button sticky. There is
still also a lot of light that comes from around the two knobs.

It is silly that these lights don't get dimmed with the main display.
Still its less bad than it was before.
