mine is 6 years old and I've fitted two 6 1/2 inch speakers in the front.
You'll need collars/adaptors though, they're only a couple of quid. The
trickiest bit I found was ferreting the wires through to the head unit.
You'll probably have to drill a hole through the plastic wiring plug/socket
thingy that sits in the door, then push the wires through the hole to the
otherside. Its a *very* fiddly job but is worth it in the end. unless you're
planning to use the wiring that's already there... but then, that's ****
quality and the adaptors on the end are strange.

buy speakers from halfrauds i supose they will have them there. any
recomendations for speakers?

most car shops will sell the adaptors. I'm sure someone else can recommend
speakers, I'm not knowledgable about such things you see, just make sure
they are rated higher than the max output of your head unit, that way you
won't blow them.
