MP3 HU Comparison
OK folks.. need some help in deciding what new MP3 HU I want.
My 3 picks so far a Clarion DXZ838RMP Sony CDX-M850MP Kenwood KDC-M7024 All are round the £220 mark and have similar features and functions. Any recommendations or discouragements to those units about or are there any others that I should take a look at. Any help greatly appreciated... I'll be having a pop into my local Halfords to see what they have to play with (don't worry I won't be buying anything there). -- Cheers. Got mine for £99.99, and can't take it back. :-( and works okay and at that price I am not really bothered. I can't get it to play anything other than track 1 on a disk of MP3's, ATM. It's more than likely something I did wrong burning the disk, though. I wasted a few CD-R's because I used lower case letters in file names. Unless anyone here has a few suggestions, I'll have to contact Goodmans to see what I'm doing wrong. -- Regards _ / ) "The blindingly obvious is / _)rad never immediately apparent" |

If there is something wrong with the HU, then Halfords are obliged to exchange the unit with a working one ( if thats what you suspect) or, exchange the Goodmans one (as it is mot working), for another equivilent, then re-swap it againg for another, cheaped Goodmans - hopefully you will get the difference back in cash or in vouchers Good luck... -- Sol www.beep.tk |

For example, I initially got an "ERROR 2" message, when trying to play MP3's. Nowhere is that error code, or any other, explained. As I said, I'll check with Goodmans first, just to be sure. -- Regards _ / ) "The blindingly obvious is / _)rad never immediately apparent" |

According to Goodmans, that error code covers various things, so isn't really very helpful. check with Goodmans first, just to be sure. And, as a result, I tried burning my CD's by a different method. All seem now to be okay. Why doesn't the manual just say "Burn from ISO images", rather than the waffle they do write in it? -- Regards _ / ) "The blindingly obvious is / _)rad never immediately apparent" |
