Cheapest car mp3 player
Hi I was browsing the net for the cheapest CD/MP3 player for my taxi and I
got a nice wee bargain at Tesco online it's a Roadstar model CD800 at £89.99 and it has a total of 160 watts per channel. Has anyone got one of these and can give me a report on it ... thanks from Eddie... |

Does the guy from there still post on here? |

i'd deffo go for the panasonic over a roadstar brand anyday.. well actually
any brand over roadstar really :) never mind the 160 watt output, it's the usual manafacturers bull **** figures, it put out that power for a fraction of a second before it blew the amp in the test lab, it'll be followed by something like *peak power, or music power or something, RMS is the real figure, but i'll bet you can't find out what it is.. prolly 20 to 30 watts if that.. but that's plenty for a head unit, if you want more power get an amp as the power wire to the stereo will never support the current required to provide clean output at over 30 or 40 watts. i have the panasonic MP3 player, damn good unit it is too, plenty of features, and you can get the basic model for 89 quid, 99 quid buys you the one with CD player inputs, 4 pre-outs, plays almost anything you put in it and so on. Dont walk away from such a bargain, run and dont look back. You can get
decent makes like pioneer or JVC for about £130. look at sites like www.caraudiodirect.com . there are other sites that do them for cheaper. "eddie" wrote in message ...
