Blaupunkt San Diego volume problems
 

My 2 year old stereo stopped last week and would only display a Blaupunkt
scrolling message and no sound. If I pressed any button the message would
freeze and start up again several minutes later. I pulled the unit out and
removed and reinserted the connectors. Now it works but if I have the volume
below 10 (15 if I set the xbass to 3) it plays at maximum volume. It also
keeps displaying the Blaupunkt scrolling message with "Demo". How do I reset
it so it says "welcome" I have checked the connector inputs and they only
fit one way into one socket.

I'm stumped
