VTR Speaker replacement

Bought some infinity 5000 front mids for my saxo vtr (52 plate) to replace
the original front speakers.

got them installed perfectly fine, jsut cant figure out why when the volume
is above 9 on my head unit it crackles in both the infinity speakers in the
front and the factory standards in the back. cant seem to find anything that
would give off interference. running a alpine 9812rb mp3/cd head unit.

any ideas guys?

It's probably a grounded spaeker cable. Check in particular that the
terminals on the back of the speaker aren't fouling the metalwork in
the door.

A solution may be to simply cover the terminals with insulator tape.

Try disconnecting one of the front speakers and see if it still
happens. If it does, reconnect that speaker and disconnect the other
side. If it's only doing it on with one particular speaker connected,
it's likely to be a grounded cable as I originally suggested. If not,
pull both speakers out of the doors and see what happens when you run
them in free air.

The next thing I'd do is test the head unit out of the car running 4
speakers to confirm it's only doing it in the car.
