Subwoofer problem in new VW Bora
Hi,
I have bought a new VW Bora Sport Edition , had a Seat Ibiza Evo 1 before. In my Ibiza my Sub played very well for the car , now in my new Bora and dont hear the sub practicly anymore when im in my car...when i open my luggage compartiment i can hear the bass coming into the car trough the rear window. I know its the problem with the back seats who are covered on there back with a steel plate , also the top rear (dont know the wright word in english for this) where you can place some build in speakers is fully covered with steel it seems. Anyone got the same problem in the past and has solved it ? Help greatly appreciated as i want my car back booming ! Thanks, Davy |

Thanks, The Bora, like the passat has a very hefty bulkhead between the boot and the cockpit, sadly this pretty much kills bass and makes it hard to get the sound forward. Your best bet is to crank the output to the subs up to the point where you can hear a reasonable amount of bass fill in the sound and add a couple of 6" or if you can fit them 8" drivers into the front kick panels.
