New Sub Which one????????????
 

Hi

I am in desperate need of some sub help. I currently have an alpine V12
MRV1005 amp and am running a JL Audio 12W0 v2 sub. It is a great sub but im
after more. More bass more punch more volume i just want bigger and better.

I have looked at:
Firstly the alpine 12" Type R sub.

Secondly as an audiobahn, possibly the flame excursion or similar, however i
was told that they are not all
that they are cracked up to be.

The third i have taken quite a liking too however am not sure how it
conmpares to the others. It is a Kicker SOLOBARIC 12" L5 dual 2ohm.

All are reasonabley and similarly priced. And all are inside sealed
enclosures but im lost as to what is the best option. I do like the quicker
and it looks better on paper but what would be the best to go for.

I have two Alpine 12" R-Type subs and they are fantastic for SQ and all
round performance. Used to have a couple of Audiobahn 10's as well, they
were superb for SPL but didn't have much in the control and quality
department and simply I actually wanted to hear the music, not just the bass
so they went. As for kicker, I've heard that a fair few people do like them
but I myself have never really been a massive fan of them.

Damn I've been away far too long, people are actually advocating 6x9's in
here nowdays. Where is Avanti? He used to keep the boom boys in check!
