Default MP3 CD head unit.

I'm looking to fit an MP3 head unit to my Mk3 polo but I'm having problems
finding one that isn't silver. I found a Sony CDXF5500 unit but have been told
that it will probably sound quite tinny in a small car with small speakers (3"
in the front and I think 4x6 in the back) as they are designed for the US market
where larger speakers are more common, the only other units in black that I have
found are a Becker Monza (hardly cheap but that isn't all that important if it
sounds good) or the JVC-KDLHX502 looks quite nice but again I don't know how it
will sound. What ever I'm going for I don't want to be adding an amp or any
extra speakers though I may upgrade the standard rears (the fronts were done by
a previous owner).

I've just fitted the sony 5500 to my fiat punto and in fairness it did sound
a bit tinny at first. There are however, loads of different sound settings
and I'm sure that you will find on to your liking - I don't have an amp but
have replaced all of the cars speakers with the Sony Xplod equivalents. It's
a craking HU in my opinion.

Thanks I may go back to the Sony as it's defiantly the cheapest option.
