Alright vamp I see you have another pointless person replying who won't give
you a straight answer over 4 messages. At the moment mate for cheapness sake i just wired both my RCA outputs (L + R) into 2 splitters then into the amp to pump the sound to Front and Rear channels (2 6 x 9s (Front 1ch + 2ch) and a bridged sub (Rear 3ch + 4ch)). This is only because im using a cheapo head unit with a high to low convertor (only gives 2 RCA out). Are you sure you've wired up the sub to the amp right? Youll no doubt need an amp (just in case you were wiring from head unit straight to the driver). Some subs have an inbuilt amp though. When you say it doesn't work what happens exactly? Sounds like the blind leading the blind, take the car to a specialist or wait for some other to answer your post, you wouldn't like my real reply.... bit harsh mate, i managed to hard wire his wires to an ISO connector but i don't mess with amps, well not yet :) exspect more stupid questions i'm affraid The fire service can be called free by dialling 999 or 112, check the car is insured for fire damage. funny ****er aint you but i see no where on the newsgroup where it says no newbies. There is nothing wrong with being a newbie at all, but from what you typed earlier, both you and your friend should not indulge in diy when it comes to ICE, quit the arguing as anyone coming to view the thread will only join an argument and your original issue will not get resolved, note i have answered your originalquery by suggesting you take the vehicle to someone that knows what they are doing. it's not that i'm completely clueless, i'm very unlikly to wire an amp up without an inline fuse for example and i wired the ISO via a pin out map i found just when it came to the sub it throw me off a bit. anyway arguments aside is there a way to wire this to the head unit? Yes. you mean if i use a Y cable or just plug 1 RCA in it'll work thanks :) and i got that in another non car audio newsgroup! |
