Help! I've just installed this unit in my car and I cannot get it out
of demo mode. The manual says to press and hold the '5' button and
then press reset, but all this seems to do is reset it...

What am I doing wrong?

Nothing! There's a knack to it, and it took me a good 5 or 6 attempts
on my 9527, as it isn't terribly well explained in the manual.

Basically, the HU needs to see that the '5' button is held down when
it comes out of reset, so (if I recall correctly), the sequence is:

1. Press and hold '5'.
2. Press and release 'reset' (still holding down '5').
3. Wait until the display turns back on before releasing '5'.

This ought to work - it's all down to the timing of when you release
the '5' button, and it takes a bit of experimentation to get it
right...

Thanks for that Simon. I'll give it a go and report back...
