Sony CDXT70MX skips when hot...?
 

Hi group...

I have the been using the above MP3 autochanger for 2 years. Over this time
I have only used it for MP3 CD playing.

Over the past 4 months I have noticed that the player starts to skip/cause
drop outs when it get hot... say after 3 hours continuous use or if the car
has been standing in direct sunlight all day.

It's not the discs, the burn process, the bit rate etc etc as the same
discs do not skip when the unit is cool...

Anyone else experiencing this sort of behaviour... or have a sensible
solution to the issue???

Dave,
I have a Sony Head Unit in my car and I also am having the same problem. I
first thought it could be dust on the lens or something, but you are right
it is heat which is causing it.

Any soulutions to this problem?
