Hi group.

Since fitting my DVD player and screen along with my Sony XA 300 source
selector I have loads of interference when playing from any source with the
engine running. I'm just going to nip out and move the earth point for the
DVD player and screen to the same as the headunit, see if that makes any
difference but I wondered if anyone else had any other ideas as well?

I've never had problems before with interference so it's a bit new to
me..........

Well changing earth and power supplies made no difference, and I've narrowed
it down to the DVD player, when I disconnect the RCA's from the DVD to the
source selector the interference stops. But when I reconnect them for the
sound the interference comes back.

Have you tried shielded RCA's - obvious I know, but could be that.
Especially depending on how they are routed or what they run close to. Had a
similar problem with the sound on a CD changer in an Escort once. You know
the sort of thing, boy racer, lots of home wired amps etc. The look on his
face when I suggested he spend some money on some decent cables was a
picture - he'd used nothing better than cheap bell wire to do the speakers.
