Missing CD Player for E280 1998 (UK)
 

Recently purchased 1998 E280 "Avantgarde" (Auto) saloon(sedan).
The radio appears to be a "Special" model with no CD slot.
The CC-CD button only operates a cassette.
I have checked in boot(trunk) and cannot locate any wiring for a Cd changer.
Is wiring to a changer a difficult or expensive job?
Will I need to change the radio unit?
Owners handbook shows a socket at rear of radio for CD connection
I do not know how to view the back of the present unit to confirm if there
actually is a CD wiring socket.
If the job is beyond an average DIY'er,does anyone know of an installer in
the UK South West preferebly Devon, who would do this for a reasonable
charge.
