Adding minidisc to Ford Focus cd6000 player

Hi,
I have a Ford Focus Zetec with the CD6000 standard cd player. There is
no tape player. I want to hook up my minidisc player to the cd6000 and
player it through the car's speakers. Is this possible? Logic says i
must have a line out on the back of the cd6000, but how do i access
it, even if there is one? Should i take it to my dealer or will
Halfords be able to do it or myself?
The other option is to by a car cassette player and a cassette
adapter. How do you add a cassette player to a cd player only system?
Any other ideas welcome.

Thanks for help,
Jeff

If the radio's a Visteon produced model, rather than one of the new
Sony produced units you can use either a Soundlinx FOR01AUX or a
Connects2 VFOX001 (details of both on our site) to give you a stereo
RCA input. You'd then just need an RCA to 3.5mm cable to connect from
the interface to the headphone jack on your portable.

If it's a Sony produced unit there are no interfaces as yet - in which
case you'd need to use a cassette adaptor or an FM modulator.

Jon, have you tried the Soundlinx FM transmitter yet? I fitted one in a new
Shogun last week with a DVD and it was spot on, no alternator whine or
interference.

Steve

Hi Steve,

I haven't, no. I've always been a bit wary of the whole non-DTI issue.
I'm also not entirely sure I could live with the risk (no matter how
small) that it could potentially interfere with something important.
