Renault Clio 2, adding CD changer
My daughter's just bought herself a Clio (51 plate, 16v, alloys & spoiler,
if that helps identify the trim level), and in celebration of never again having to jump start her old pug, I'm paying for a Cd changer for her. Is there any way to tell whether the standard header unit (tape player) has the necessary sockets to suit the changer unit, or will it cost me a new header unit too? In the hope that all I need is the changer unit, am I restricted to just the Renault unit, or will, say, Sony units fit, with a suitable adapter/cable? TIA if you can save me some dosh, but it'll be worth it! keith |

You would probably be best posting the make / model of the HU or putting it into Google along with "changer". If it's any help my standard Renault CD player had controls to operate a CD changer. Have a look here for some ideas: http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/catsea...nault&limit=10 http://www.caraudiodiscount.com/cdforoe/ http://www.letsbuycaraudio.com/main/brand/149/43 To be honest you would be as well changing the head unit for an MP3 player. That will she will just about be able to get the same amount of albums on the one CD as she would in a CD Changer -- Steven Replace the word THREE with the number three to reply |

Are you saying the alloy wheels and spoiler will have no effect on the head unit then? |
