DVD MP3 players
Hi all,
I'm looking for a head unit that can play MP3 from a DVD. So far the JVC KD-AVX1 seems to be the only option :- http://www.jvcmobile.co.uk/prod_deta..._cat_id=999999 Just wondering if anyone knows of any others. I don't care about video, but I do want a decent display showing ID3 etc. Cheers, Colin. |

The only minor disappointment I've found so far is that it doesn't appear to have a front centre output, but that may just be me overlooking something. There's also a couple of Alpines due in the next few months - DVA-9860R and DVA-9965R. I think given the fact that PC DVD recorders can now be picked up for under £30, this has got to be the next big step forward for car MP3. I normally hang around for a bit when I fancy a new car stereo, funnily enough ;o) http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/view_p...p?partno=MEXR1 John Looks encouraging. I was beginning to think JVC were the only people who did it. Nice price too. The only down-side seems to be the one-line display. Perhaps I'll wait a bit and see if someone comes out with something somewhere between the two. Cheers, Colin. |

I wonder how much they'll be... Cheers, Colin. |

It's not showing on their dealer system as yet, so we can't confirm whether it's likely to arrive as anticipated. The 9965 price is still "TBA" at the moment. Jon -- In-Car Express http://www.incarexpress.co.uk Car Audio | Security | Multimedia | Navigation Tel. 01223 301212 Fax. 0870 7484 123 |

Cheers, Colin. you mean a one-and a half line display ;o^) Well even that'd be better, but I was thinking more of a halfway house between the one-line on the Sony and the full video monitor on the JVC. Actually, I'm warming to the video monitor idea now. I like the thought of putting on a couple of T-junction cameras. Hmmm.... If only I had a bit more spare time. Cheers, Colin. |
