Best Way to connect all this lot...
Hi all,
Im looking for a bit of advice to allow me to re-wire my kit "properly". At the moment I have a Nokia Car kit connected into the stereo (Sony MDX-C7900 MD Player) speaker loom via a mute lead. Speaker wires then go to an amp and then to speakers. This works OK appart from the phone is too loud once the signal has gone through the amp (remove the amp and all is fine) - cant adjust the phone volume anymore cos its on minimum. I also have an iPAQ which runs TomTom for Sat Nav that I would like to route via the speakers - Another thread in this group suggests that I can simply route this through the High Level Inputs if I use the low level inputs for the stereo. Only slight downside is that the stereo wouldnt mute but Im not worried about that so I guess that will take care of the iPAQ. Last but not least, my iPOD. This coonects to a box of tricks that plugs into the CD changer port on the back of the stereo. Thats taken care of also. So...My phone is the problem...Any ideas on where to put this in the heap of spaghetti wires such that the volume is at a reasonable level and the stereo is also muted? I can live with the iPAQ shouting now and again whilst on the phone. Help!!! Thanks Jon |
