audi a4 install suggestions?
 

hey guys looking for some advice for an install for an audi a4 estate


2000 model without bose btw


the only problem i can forsee is the fact its 13cm front speakers

already have a nice blaupunkt h/u that will be retained so really just
after some suggestions to better the factory install (budget circa 500 quid)

The factory speakers (non-Bose) in the last 3 Audis I've had have been
pretty good. 1999 A3, 2001 A4, 2003 A4 Quattro.

The stock head unit was pretty lousy though compared to my original Sony
MDX-CA580, later replaced with MEX-1HD.

Replace the head unit (which you've already done, assuming by your
post), and add an offboard amp for the front speakers. Rear speakers are
amplified on the non-Bose system, and there's even a sub somewhere in
the back of the car. On the saloon it's under the parcel shelf, not
quite sure where it is on the Avant.
