Kenwood head unit and Ipod
I'm thinking of purchasing a Kenwood head unit with dedicated Kenwood
Ipod adapter. My hope is that because I can control the Ipod from the head unit, and because it apparently displays the artist/album/title and allows me to search, I can tuck the Ipod away in the glovebox and forget about it. Does anyone have any experience of this combination? Specifically, does the head unit really allow you to search by artist/album etc, and importantly, does it do it quickly (ie as quick as you can scroll through artists on the ipod). Also, does the head unit power the Ipod on and off, or do you have to do that on the Ipod yourself? |

If you want something that works like the iPod, we'd suggest that you buy a Harman Kardon Drive+Play. If you buy anything else, you really need to expect to have to modify the way in which you search for files on your iPod - it's simply not possible to have comparable control on a head unit, as you don't have the same hardware user interface. Are you aware that you can plug an iPod directly into the USB lead on Kenwood's USB models?
