Replacing a Traffic 3000 in a Ford Escort with a MP3-CD player
Hi,
I have a Ford Escort Ghia from 1998 which still has the built-in Traffic 3000 radio-tape player. I am more than sick of it and would like to replace it with a mp3-cd-radio player (optionally with a SD-slot). Assuming I find the unit fulfilling my requirement, how difficult is it then to have it installed by a good fitter (which good fitters by the way ?). Do you have some names to suggest me ? Thanks. |

As long as you get the correct fascia and harness adaptors (Autolelads FP-07-00 and PC2-08-4), it's literally a 5 minute job and something most people could easily figure out for themselves. Thanks for your message.
Do I also need some special tools to remove the installed radio, as I have the impression I need some sort of blades. Then you mention the PC2-08-4 item which looks like a pair of connectors. Assuming that I buy a radio with ISO connectivity, will that plug in to these connectors ? Thanks. Yes - all decent units now come with an ISO that will plug straight into the adaptor.
