What to do with a Fiesta MK III?
Hi All,
I have a Fiesta Mk III and I've been chopping and changing the audio components for the last few weeks and I can't seem to get a good enough sound. Original configuration: Ford RDS 2005 Head Unit, original Ford Front Speakers, original Ford Back Speakers. I replaced the front speakers with some Alpine SXE-1325S (35W RMS, 200W Peak), but I found little significant difference. I then replaced the front speakers with TheLoudest.Com's TL-1051 (50W RMS, 175W Peak) and the back speakers with TheLoudest.Com's TL-1041 (45W RMS, 150W Peak). The Ford head unit and these speakers did not match and sounded awful. I then replaced the head unit with a JVC KD-LHX551 which is alot louder but I'm finding the system still sounds unpleasant. It screams on high frequencies even at low volumes - like a "ringing" in my ears and it distorts at high volumes. What shall I do? I've got a stealth shelf and I'm going to mount some speakers in that to replace the back ones. I would like more powerful speakers in the front doors. Could I put in some 6x9's in the existing holes? Would the plastic container thing fit on top of them? Please help, Ryan |
