Is it possible to combine a P.C. speakerset such as as the Creative Labs
Cambridge soundworks 550 with audio components eg a DVD player and receiver or is such a set really intended for P.C. soundcards? For instance is the difference in output power between a soundcard and an AV receiver a problem for PC speakers? Thanks oscar |

You just need to by a cable - 3.5mm to 2 phono or whatever, depends what plug your speakers take. If you want to get PC sound too without unplugging cables, route the other stuff into the line in of the pc, and unmute line in on the control panel (assuming windows) whenever you want to play that stuff. BTW, why not just get a £20 dvd rom drive for your PC? With the right software it can look better than a £400 stand-alone unit! -- Jim H jh @333 .org |
