Mini/Micro HiFi recommendation needed please..
 

Hi - can anyone help me please?

I need a mini/micro HiFi (preferably CD & Tuner only) that meets the
following requirements...

Excellent sound quality (well, as good as it can be within the obvious
limitations of a mini/micro trannie system)
Nice & loud! (I'm looking for a high RMS value rather than peak-power,
right?)
Front-loading CD (the system will live in a purpose-built cubby-hole in a
hollow wall)
I don't want a multi-CD system.
Audio & MP3 playback
CD-R/RW playback (must work with non-branded CD-R/RW discs - I understand
Phillips systems are a bit fussy?)
Must have a radio tuner but I don't particularly want/need a
tape-player/recorder or MiniDisc.
Would like a remote control but not vital.
Physically small - but not at the expense of audio quality and usability.

I'd rather not spend more than £300 but nearer £200 if possible.

Are the speakers that come with such systems generally up to the job? Or are
they best thrown in the bin and a decent pair purchased instead?
Are there any mini/micro systems with DAB (& a CD player) ? ( I couldn't
find any)
