Record cleaning accessories
I have recently had my turntable re-furbished and have been re-visiting
my vinyl records. I have taken out and been using my Cecil Watts cleaning devices, but the replaceable parts are grubby and musty-smelling and need replacing. I have used Google and Ask Jeeves to try to find a source of replacement parts, but all I can find are bottles of cleaning fluid and a brush similar to my Parastat brush. I have a Preener, a Parastat brush, another Parastat brush sandwiched between preener pads, the foam-filled treatment wand that sits in a bottle-shaped thing containing a damp pad, a Dustbug and a small padded tool for cleaning the stylus. What do people do nowadays to clean vinyl records immediately prior to playing them? Does anyone know of a source of replacement parts for the Cecil Watts devices, or of an alternative source of similar tools? I am sorry if this question has been asked before. Thank you for any advice. David -- David J Worden |
