Record Noise generator plug in

I can't be arsed subscribing to the pro audio groups but as there are a
few people who may know about this sort of thing...

Does anyone know of a plug-in that will work with a Logic based DAW that
actually generates LP record type noise - clicks, pops surface noise,
that sort of thing?

I've been asked to see if I can track one down. Google gives me lots of
hits on how to get rid of it, but none on how to generate it :)

Cheers

At http://www.a-reny.com/iexplorer/restauration.html

Under the subject "Another Plugin ClickFix" you wil find a method to extract
noise and hiss and pops from Lps.

Under the subject "Reverse Engeneering" there is an example of a clean recording
then mixed with noise.

I don't think that an automatic noise generating system will work as well as a hand
made mix based on a bank of various clicks and noises. One would, off course,
know how to handle a good audio editor to be able to do the job
