'Shallow' components?

Bit of advice needed... I'm looking to put a second system in my study but,
for architectural reasons, the amp/cd needs to fit on a shelf only 260mm
deep (i.e from front edge to the wall). I've looked at the Denon micro
systems but they all seem to be 360mm deep, as is my old Cyrus 2 amp.
Ideally I'd like something more than a 'boom box' but I'm running low on
inspiration...

Anyone got any suggestions for suitably small amps/cd players?

Thanks

Quad 33 with a portable CD player (and the 303 out of sight
somewhere)?

That is such an infuriatingly perfect answer... if only I could :-))
