Default Voyd turntable power supply - repair/replacement?

My Voyd's power supply has been sulking for a while: speaking to
Audionote, they think the phases have probably gone out of sync, but
there's a chance that it'll need a new PSU, at a cost of £450. Which
I'm several hundred pounds short of right now... Does anyone have/know
of an old single phase supply that's been upgraded from, or even have
a Voyd with a dead motor but a healthy power supply. Or failing that,
someone in Cambs/London who might be able to take a look at it.
Audionote would like the whole lot, turntable included, and getting it
from here to Hove looks non-trivial at the moment.

Thanks,

James

P.S. If anyone can X-post to uk.r.a.v. I'd appreciate it: Google
Groups hasn't caught up with it yet...

Have you considered changing to the Origin Live power supply and motor ?

A friend of mine had a similar problem last year. There was a buzzing
sound coming from the motors. One of the phases had gone - the output
transistor had died.

It really is a very crude design, so I'm not surprised it died. I
replaced the transistors with higher rated ones and re-balanced the
outputs with a 'scope. Seems to work fine now.

Perhaps Audionote don't like getting involved at this level?

Does yours buzz?
