Hi,

I have for sale a complete set of UK Audiophile magazines from 1990 to 1994.
These include reviews of high-end kit from that era, just when vinyl
reproduction was getting better and better but vinyl sales were dropping....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=3070763764

I hope to keep the set complete, but if at the end if the auction there are
no bids I will welcome enquiries for specific reviews,

Thanks for looking,
John

This (Audiophile) was my favourite magazine of the time. I shan't be
bidding (chiefly as I would have nowhere to put said magazines, but
also as I believe I read each issue from mid-1992 until the magazine
was withdrawn from sale), but whoever does succeed in this auction
will get some very interesting reading material indeed.

Hi,

Thanks for the interest in this. I was surprised that my auction for a
single HiFi Choice for 1983 went so well, has this magazine some sort of
cult following?

Personally I think the hi-fi of 1983 must sound today much like the hifi of
1963 sounded in 1983!

Regards,
John

Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for you are tasty and good with ketchup.

I don't think it's changed that much :-)

Errrr...., which way do you mean? HiFi today sounds like hifi from 1983, or
1983 sounds like 1963, or both, meaning hifi today sounds like hifi from
1963? I hope & believe it doesn't!

John

My Quad ESL 57's still sound as good as they did then; and better then
anything I've heard since

Anyone who thinks you couldn't get good sound in the 60s, just because
Dixons didn't stock it, is very much mistaken......
