NAD CD Players
 

I'm interested in buying a NAD 521i, 521BEE or 541i
CD player. I just saw that prices there in UK are
much cheaper than here in Italy.

Do you know any good online shop that deliver to
foreign countries? I made few searches but only
audiovision explicitly says they deliver to
other countries.
Do you also know any sites with used special offers
other than ebay.co.uk?

I'm not sure whether voltage is the same as here
in Italy (220V) and if not how would I solve this
problem.

Buy any British hifi magazine and they will have many ads.

Buy any British hifi magazine and they will have many ads.

I took a look but unfortunately I didn't get the chance
to find a shop that delivers abroad. The only one is
audiovisiononline that apply a supplemental VAT making
the price not so cheap. I will try again looking more
and trying to contact some shops and keeping an eye on
ebay.co.uk.

But I read all the agreements and they say they don't ship
abroad. So I think the only one is audiovisiononline that
apply a supplement VAT I suppose and that doesn't let to
buy directly online via credit card.

I think I have to give up to buy a NAD in UK.
The only chance is ebay.co.uk or other shops that sell
used hi-fi separates.

Mario, Audiovision (online) is only a piddly little shop in St Neots where I
live (and is only 800m from me).

I have spoken to Neil, the owner, to clarify a couple of points on your
behalf:

First, the credit card problem is apparently one of international
'authorisation' and they have had problems in the past with the credit card
companies over international credit card transactions. Second, the reason
they charge VAT in the UK is because, at 17.5%, it usually works out cheaper
than the country's own rate (19% in Italy, if that is where you are from?).
However, if you are prepared to take care of the VAT aspect in your own
country Neil says he would consider would certainly consider a Zero VAT
Personal Export scenario in your case. He isn't too keen to do it generally,
I gather - I mentioned you were a regular in ukra. :-)

(I think a few years ago they were inundated with dodgy credit card orders
from 'America' for delivery to places like Roumania, if you see what I
mean.....??)
