Hifi purchase advice
I'm looking to buy a system in the region of £200-£230ish. I'm really after
a CD player and tuner, but a tape would be an extra. I have no use for MP3 or Minidisc. I would prefer to buy from a high street retailer and not online or imports. Does anyone have any ideas which is the best I can get? Graham |

Graham www.richersounds.co.uk For that price you would probably better to look at a ready-made system Curry's do a Denon M-D31 with CD player, RDS radio, and about enough power, with a pair of speakers made by Mission. The quality of the unit could be upgraded later with better speakers. -- Woody |

Has anyone recommended the Denon DM31 yet..?!
Ah, I see they have - let me be another to do so. Buying one a few months ago for my 'playroom' made me wonder if/why I really needed the large stack of components I'd build up over the last ten years and spend well over a grand on... It is sublime. £180 for the unit alone (you don't have to get it with the Denon/Mission speakers) at most places; Richer Sounds, and also Sevenoaks I see.
