Subject: Technics SH-400, Any value?
 

If this has appeared twice apologies, my reader tells me it posted AOK
yesterday but I can see no trace of it in any group yet.

I have just acquired a Technics SH-400 CD-4 demodulator. I'm currently
using it as a simple stereo phono preamp.

Is there still any marketplace for this unit? Any idea of value? It seems
pretty revered in it's day.

I don't have any CD-4 setup so can't test anything other than simple
function - and I don't have the manual. The nice blue backlight comes on
and the front and rear outputs appear nicely preamped in demod mode with
the separation controls providing amp volume.

Anyone know if there more I can test if I want to ensure I have a good
working unit.
