You say that you're looking for a good CD player and you don't want to
spend much. Maybe you'd like to give us a bit more of a description of your tastes and your budget, then the group could offer more useful advice. Personally, I'd start down at Richer Sounds and have a listen to the Cambridge CD5, the NAD C521 BEE or the Sony SCDXE680. The NAD is a current reviewer's favourite, the Cambridge has always been a top-class player and is now at a very silly price, while the Sony is one of their usual excellent CD players with the bonus of also handling SACDs - if you think you can tell the difference! -- Stewart Pinkerton | Music is Art - Audio is Engineering |

Now *that* is a very serious player indeed, with perhaps the most overkill DAC arrangement ever seen at any price! Help Its driving me mad. Sorry, can't help you with the remote problem. But hey, remember LPs, when you actually had to get off your duff (shock, horror!!!), and change the record all by yourself every six tracks or so?............ Cheers Vince PS Stewart I think I posted to you rather than to group with my last message!!!!! Doh No problem. I got your 'phone message, but I'm not the most knowledgeable guy at the bottom end of the market, so I thought a response to the group might get you more help. OTOH, the Kenwood 7090 is IMNVHO one of the best CD players ever made at *any* price, so don't sweat it! -- Stewart Pinkerton | Music is Art - Audio is Engineering |
