Sony SACD player
I have bought the Sony DAV-SA30 home cinema system and am generally very
happy when playing DVDs , CDs, VCDs, and MP3 CDs. However, when it comes to playing SACDs it seems rather limited. Firstly, the dynamic bass function which makes other discs sound fantastic, can't be used during SACD playback. I don't know why Sony have done this - what's the point? Secondly, when I played a Rolling Stones SACD the sound only comes out of the left, right and centre speakers - NOT the surround speakers. This Rolling Stones SACD is not a multichannel mix - it's stereo, but that doesn't stop ordinary stereo CDs from playing through all 5 speakers, which they do perfectly. Can anyone tell me why won't a stereo SACD play through all the speakers like a stereo CD does? And is there anything I can do to remedy this problem? |
